The Brazilian transport sector is responsible for about 38% of the country’s greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, it is a central element of the energy transition and a key focus area related to decarbonization. The importance of E-mobility is growing in Brazil. In this webinar, we will explore the institutional scenario and the current regulatory framework for charging infrastructure and its impact on e-mobility in Brazil.

During the webinar, participants can submit their questions to get them answered by the experts in the live Q&A. In addition, both the recording and the speakers' presentations will be made available to all registrants after the webinar.

André Fortes Chaves, President Lemob, Representative in Brazil B.E.M.

André Fortes Chaves is president of Lemob (E-mobility Laboratory), a consultant for government and institutional relations, e-mobility and energy law at Carvalho & Furtado Advogados and serves as the official representative of Germany’s Federal E-Mobility Association (B.E.M.) in Brazil. André holds an LL.M. as a European Master in Law and Economics from the Universities of Hamburg, Rotterdam and Aix-en-Provence; an MBA in Institutional Relations from the Brazilian Capital Markets Institute in Brasília, a postgraduate degree in Energy Law and Electricity Sector Business from the Centre for International Law, Belo Horizonte, with extension courses on E-mobility: Policies, Planning and Business Opportunities at Unicamp, São Paulo, and the Legal Regime on E-mobility at Nova School of Law, Lisbon.

Cesare Quinteiro Pica, Chief Executive Officer Move Eletromobilidade

Cesare Quinteiro Pica has worked for 15 years with innovation in the energy industry, on issues related to energy generation, distribution and trading in the context of integrating the vehicle charging infrastructure in the electric energy network. He currently serves as CEO of MOVE Eletromobilidade, a technology company offering smart solutions and digital services for recharging electric vehicles. Cesare is an Electrical Engineer from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, and a PhD from the Politecnico di Torino on Power Electronics for Distributed Generation and Integration of Electric Vehicles in the Power Grid.
