Fernando Luiz Marcelo Antunes, UFC - Ceará Federal University

Professor in Power Electronics

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from UFC, Master's degree from USP and PhD from Loughborough University (England). Professor at DEE/UFC and GPEC, in the areas of power electronics, electrical machines and renewable sources. He did post-doctoral work at Fraunhofer IEE (Germany) and is currently a visiting professor at TH-Köln in Cologne. He was coordinator of PPGEE/UFC, president of SOBRAEP and Chief Energy Scientist at FUNCAP.

Retired as Associate Professor IV at the UFC, where he currently works as a volunteer professor at the PPGEE. He has experience in R&D with a focus on Electrical Machines, Automation and Industrial Energy Efficiency. He works on the following topics: Energy Planning, Energy Market, Electric Mobility, ISO 50001.

He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Djillali Liabes University of Sidi Bel Abbes (Algeria, 2003), a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Regional University of Blumenau - FURB (Brazil, 2013) and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of S. Catarina (Brazil, 2018). He is currently a lecturer in Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Ceará and a researcher in Power Electronics at the Federal University of Minas Gerais.

He was recruited as a Maintenance Engineer at UNICAMP in 1992 at CEMEQ (Center for Equipment Maintenance). He is part of the Emergency Power Generator Service Team.
