Marcos Rogério Chaves da Silva is an Electrical Engineer with an MBA in Business Management and a Specialization in Project Management, both from FGV-SP.
He has been working in electrical power protection systems for four decades. He is the managing partner of TECPRO Soluções em Energia and works on studies of short-circuit, selectivity and incident energy caused by electrical arcs in Distributed Generation, MV installations in the SEP, photovoltaic and hybrid installations. He is also a lecturer in postgraduate courses in the area of Electrical Power Systems.
He has been working in standardization for several years, and is a member of COBEI and an Expert representing Brazil on IEC's TC99 and PC 128.
At ABNT's CB-24, he is Coordinator of Study Commissions CE024:102.007 - Fire safety in PV energy systems, responsible for drafting ABNT NBR 17193:2025, and of Commission CE024:103.005 - Fire safety in GTD installations
. At ABNT's CB-03, he is Secretary of Study Commissions CE 003.064.011 - Medium-voltage electrical installations and CE 003.064.012 - Safety in Electricity.
