Why was The smarter E South America 2021 postponed?
We decided to postpone the exhibitions and the parallel conferences, to October 18-20, 2021, on account of the increasing spread of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) worldwide and in response to recommendations from the Brazilian federal government as well as the Sao Paulo state government.
The health of the exhibitors, visitors and employees as well as the general public is our top priority. The smarter E South America is a large international event which welcomes around 380 exhibitors from 40 countries and 28,000 visitors from over 12 countries. Under the prevailing circumstances, it would be impossible to organize and host such an international exhibition without critical complications.
Will it really be possible to hold the event in light of the ongoing pandemic?
Currently, we are working on the assumption that it will be possible to hold The smarter E South America from October 18-20, 2021, in compliance with the required protective health measures.
What protective measures are planned for The smarter E South America to prevent the spread of COVID-19?
It is too early to say with any confidence exactly which protective measures will be taken for the event in October 2021; we kindly ask for your understanding and patience.
Together with Expo Center Norte, we are working on a health and safety concept, which enables all participants a secure participation in the exhibition, even in times of Corona.
As the COVID-19 pandemic is constantly evolving, it can be expected that this plan will undergo changes before October 2021. We will make sure to provide our exhibitors and visitors with regular updates.
